Celtic Spirituality Event – March 12, 2017

Join Irish-born Margaret Nally, leader of TourMagination’s Sights, Sounds & Sacred Space of Ireland tour, at the 2017 Irish Real Life Festival! This year marks the second annual IRL Festival, a gathering that brings bring both contemporary and traditional Irish culture to Waterloo Region. Join Margaret as she provides insight into the gift that is Celtic Spirituality. Learn about the Dark Ages of Europe, a time in which monks and hermits were called to bring light and hope to a forsaken land. Discover the lifestyle, trials, hardships, celebrations and joys of Celtic Spirituality and experience Irish culture first-hand with live Celtic music and authentic Irish tea and scones. The event will be held on March 12 at 33 Allen St. E. in Waterloo and will run from 2pm to 4pm. Donations are welcome and will be taken for the Corrymeela peace and reconciliation centre. Corrymeela has a facility on Ireland’s northern coast as well as a dispersed community that works closely with school and community groups throughout Northern Ireland to teach methods of reconciliation, peacebuilding and non-violence.
