2023 Journey of Hope: Jordan, Israel, Palestine Biblical Tour

Celebrate God’s faithfulness as you visit biblical sites with a worshiping band of pilgrims who seek the peacemaking way of Jesus. Follow the Israelites’ route to Canaan and see fabulous ruins of Petra. Stand atop Mt. Nebo from which Moses viewed the land and descend to the Jordan where Joshua parted waters. Walk where John baptized and climb to the fortress where he died. Sing carols at Bethlehem, pray at the Western Wall in Jerusalem, go to the Upper Room, and share communion at a first-century garden tomb. Explore Nazareth where Jesus was raised, hear beatitudes on a hill next to Capernaum, and ascend to heights of Masada. Renew your commitment to mission at Caesarea where Peter shared the gospel with a centurion. Nelson Kraybill will guide this journey with pastoral sensitivity and reflection on current justice issues.

The Middle East lies at the juncture of Eurasia and Africa and of the Mediterranean Sea and the Indian Ocean. It is the birthplace and spiritual center of the Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Yezidi, and in Iran, Mithraism, Zoroastrianism, Manichaeism, and the Bahá'í Faith. Throughout its history the Middle East has been a major center of world affairs; a strategically, economically, politically, culturally, and religiously sensitive area.

TourMagination's trips to this region are always very meaningful for our tour members, as they offer a way to deepen one's faith, support our brothers and sisters in Christ, pray for peace and reflect on the tensions of the region.  TourMagination monitors the current situation in the Middle East and modifies their itineraries to maintain safety in travel.
