With the current political climate in the United States, you might be wondering, “Can Americans travel to Cuba?”

It is important to note that even before travel restrictions were relaxed under the Obama administration, Americans were allowed to travel to Cuba under a religious license.

The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) updated their policy on January 6, 2017. Their current document continues to support Americans travelling to Cuba for religious activities. Since TourMagination is a Christian tour company and our Cuba tour includes visits to a church, and church-run nonprofits, citizens of the United States can legitimately visit Cuba with TourMagination under a religious license.

TourMagination takes care of writing and printing the appropriate letter that all American travellers need for the Cuba tour. On our last four tours, no one has had any problems.

Our Canadian tour leaders Jack & Irene Suderman have been visiting Cuba for the past 30 years. Their strong relationships in Cuba and in-depth knowledge of the country also bring safety. It also helps that Canada is one of the few countries that has maintained diplomatic relations with Cuba over the years.

On our Fresh Perspectives on the History, Church, & People tour, January 19-28, 2018 you will experience meaningful worship and engage with Cuban citizens. We’ll also reflect on the role of the churches and non-governmental organizations in Cuban society, and visit some local NGOs. On this tour, you will catch a glimpse of the real Cuba and its people beyond the beaches and resorts. It would be difficult to replicate this tour on your own.

Flights to Cuba and hotels are increasingly difficult to book individually—but TourMagination has a number reserved for this tour.

Your visit to Cuba will let the Cuban people know that we are standing with them as they rebuild. Purchasing goods in their shops, visiting their museums and attractions, and eating in their restaurants will help Cuban entrepreneurs survive this difficult time.

We will also plan a Faithprint project where we give funds or donate supplies to meet a need identified by some of the Cubans we will be visiting.

Don’t miss out on this special experience.
