On the ferry to Vancouver Island
After two relaxing days on the Rocky Mountaineer we completed our trip with two days in Vancouver, BC. Yesterday, our driver-guide Chris picked us up at the Holiday Inn & Suites. We headed north to get the ferry for the ride over to Vancouver Island and our visit to Butchart Gardens and the the city of Victoria.
The world famous Gardens certainly lived up to their reputation with beautiful flowers, plants and shrubs. Following our time there, Chris, who lives on the Island, gave us an informative tour of the beautiful city of Victoria, with its interesting history.
Today is a free day in Vancouver, with the group taking advantage of the Hop-on, Hop-off sightseeing tour of the city.
