Netherlands & Belgium tour – Amsterdam

It rained last evening & also this afternoon, first we’ve had. We have been very fortunate.

All of us took the canal ride that was offered. First day we’ve worn jackets on this trip, as today was cooler.

They fish 14,000 bikes out of the 88 canals each year. Didn’t tell us how many cars. 650,000 residents, 1 million bicycles.

Saw several small cars. You can drive them on the bicycle trails/paths, go 40 K/hr, you don’t need a license, some electric, some not.
