Tour host Bethany Nussbaum is a Senior Development Officer with MEDA, based in Northeast Ohio. She is an avid international traveller who has led groups to Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, South Africa, Tanzania, and Myanmar. Creating space for meaningful connection, growth, learning and fun is a key component to all of Bethany’s travelling communities. Sunday, April 23 Rotterdam
Venture to Keukenhof for a full- or half-day guided experience of breathtaking Keukenhof—known as the “Garden of Europe”—for its 70 acres of lush parkland, lakes, and the world’s largest flower gardens. In Rotterdam, sample artisan beer, a slice of appeltart (Dutch apple pie), or a koffie verkeerd. You could also borrow a bike from your ship to investigate Rotterdam and the surrounding area. Before dinner, enjoy a cruise through Rotterdam harbour.
Monday, April 24 Antwerp
Take a Guided Tour of this sophisticated city to visit the central Grote Markt, lined with 16th-century guildhall houses. You’ll also see the beautiful city hall, the Cathedral of Our Lady with its stunning altarpiece paintings by Rubens. Join a Guided Walking Tour through the winding cobblestones and canals of Middelburg.
