Gareth is professor of Spiritual Formation at Columbia Bible College in Abbotsford, BC. He has taught Anabaptist History and Theology there for the past 15 years, with a focus on 16th century origins. Gareth has an MTS from Tyndale Seminary in Toronto and an STM from College of Emmanuel St. Chad in Saskatoon. He has authored two books on personal spirituality, as well as numerous articles and essays. A recent article describes one of his passions, “How Experiencing History Contributes to Spiritual Formation”

Gareth is married to Cynthia and they have four adult children and one grandchild. Together, they have lived in five different Canadian provinces where Gareth has been involved in congregational, denominational, and educational ministry. They are members of Emmanuel Mennonite Church in Abbotsford, BC. He enjoys cycling, hiking, poetry, folk music, gardening, and watercolor painting.
